"One day hezekiah asked off from work to go off with the ball team."
He asked to leave work because he was probably tired of working and since he worked so hard Joe and Janie let him off.
"So she sat on the porched and watched the moon rise. Soon its amber fluid was drenching the earth, and quenching the thirst of the day."
This mean Janie sat on the porch, she watched the day go down and she reflected on her problems and dreams.
